My Philosophy
I love working with people, advising in crises, accompanying the process of change through ups and downs - enduring difficult phases of life together and learning how to deal with them in a new way.
In my professional and private life, it is very important to me to have a loving and caring attitude towards my fellow human beings and myself. For me, this means trying to accept myself and my environment as it is - with easy and difficult phases. Everything is allowed.
I am currently working on my professional title as a federally recognized psychotherapist with a specialization in cognitive behavioral therapy. In addition, my work is strongly based on a mindful approach, which is inspired by the work of Jon Kabatt-Zinn, Pema Chödrön and Thich Nhat Hahn, among others.
I know that life doesn't always go the way you think it will, that letting go is often difficult and that sometimes you no longer know which way is up and which way is down. That's why I love travelling, because it constantly tests me and teaches me a lot.
Professional background
I already knew in high school that I wanted to be a psychologist. As life would have it, my need for long journeys and independence first led me into the business sector. Always with an interest in psychology in the back of my mind, working in human resources offered me an interesting mix of business and psychology. However, as my heart was still blossoming more for advising and supporting people in crises, after another long trip in Central and South America I found my passion in clinical psychology.
